History of the ICGN
The origins of the ICGN stem from discussions at an International Roundtable of the Council of Institutional Investors in Washington DC in Spring 1994.

The ICGN is grateful for invaluable support and consultancy advice from a number of individuals and organisations.
ICGN Internships
The ICGN offers a limited number of internships for students to learn about international corporate governance issues directly from experts in the field. The work is project based and can include conference production, marketing or assisting in ICGN policy reviews. Internships are unpaid positions and are usually organised for 3 months duration.

Carl Rosén, Executive Director
Carl Rosén joins the ICGN as Executive Director from September 2009. Prior to his role at the ICGN he served as the head of corporate governance and communications at Andra AP-Fonden, the Second Swedish National Pension Fund(AP2). He is a former chairman of the AP-funds Ethical Council and a board member of the ICGN.
Carl joined AP2 in 2004. Prior to AP2, he co-founded Nordic Investor Services, the Nordic proxy advisory firm. He is a former CFO of the state holding company Fortia and former editor-in-chief at the business weekly Affärsvärlden. He has investment banking experience from Europe and US
Carl was educated at Stockholm School of Economics and he is an enthusiastic triathlete.
Kerrie Waring, Chief Operating Officer
Kerrie joined the ICGN in January 2008 as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to her appointment she was Corporate Governance Manager at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales where she led the Institute’s US-UK corporate governance initiative. Prior to that in her role as International Professional Development Manager at the Institute of Directors she led the development of several initiatives including the Global Director Development Circle linking board training institutions in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa. Kerrie is co-author and editor of the 'Handbook on International Corporate Governance' (Kogan Page, 2004) and co-author of the World Bank – OECD’s Global Corporate Governance Forum’s Global Director Training Toolkit.
Kerrie has a BA honours Degree in international Business and Japanese and is a professionally qualified Company Secretary.

Tina Chande, Head of Events
Tina was appointed Head of Events with responsibility for ICGN’s annual and regional mid-year events in March 2008. Among her other experience in the field, Tina was the Conference Developer at the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) and before that was the Event Manager at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister in the UK.
She is fluent in Gujarati, and speaks Italian, French and Hindi. She graduated from the QMW, University of London, with a BA Hons Degree in History and Politics.

Audrey Hart, Head of Membership & Administration
Audrey joined the ICGN in April 2008. She has a wide range of administrative experience including working in a membership role for the Women’s Library in London and having travelled extensively in her years working in the airline industry. During her studies, Audrey took part in exchange programmes at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain and Stockholm's Universitet in Sweden. Audrey read Politics and International Relations and obtained her BA/Bsc Hons Degree at London Guildhall University.
Audrey speaks English and French, Spanish, Italian and Corsican fluently and has a good working knowledge of Swedish and a basic level of German and Russian. Contact Audrey: audrey.hart@icgn.org
