The second ICGN mid-year meeting of 2008, hosted by the State of Delaware, will take place in Wilmington, Delaware on Wednesday December 10, at the Hotel DuPont, with a reception and dinner beforehand on December 9.
This conference will build on the important initiatives that developed out of the inaugural ICGN / Delaware conference held in October 2004. It will look at the new reform agenda in corporate governance in the US market following the impact of the US presidential elections and consider how these affect and are affected by global developments.

Almost 400 delegates from 49 countries attended the ICGN's 2008 Annual Conference in Seoul. Seung-soo Han, Prime Minister, Republic of Korea opened the conference. Se-hoon Oh, the Mayor of Seoul, hosted the opening reception. H.E. Dr. Jun Kwang-Woo, Chairman of the Korean Financial Services Commission, was the guest speaker at the Gala Dinner held in the historic Changgyeong Palace where Nell Minnow, Editor and co-founder of The Corporate Library, was named as the winner of the 2008 ICGN Award. ICGN Chairman, Peter Montagnon, presented the first Alastair Ross Goobey Memorial Scholarship to Md. Rashedur Rahman of the Bangladesh Enterprise Institute.
The theme of this year's event was the globalisation of capital markets and the impact this has on traditional corporate governance.
