The Board elected Christine Chow as its Chair for the year ahead and Michael Herskovich as Vice Chair (also Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee).
Christine Chow, ICGN Chair, said:
“I would like to thank the ICGN members for electing the individual board members at the 2024 AGM. I am honoured to be elected as Chair, with the opportunity to continue working with a diverse and experienced group of individuals on the board, steering the growth of this exceptional member-led organisation. Over the past 12 months, the board focused on the CEO search. We are thrilled with the appointment of the new CEO, Jen Sisson, in Spring and the smooth transition of leadership. We are excited by Jen’s vision for ICGN and her plans for our members. As a board, we are committed to supporting her and her team in delivering impact with members. The investor stewardship and corporate governance issues faced by our members are getting more complex, and the industry landscape is changing fast. ICGN’s new strategy and the focus on governance as the key anchor of our work are well positioned to help our members navigate the complicated business environment. To strengthen our board, we welcome Dr Asraf Gamal El Din and Fabio Coelho, both with deep experiences on governance in practice, including in markets where our members have growing interests and exposure. I am sad to bid farewell to Ian Burger, who has been on the board as Chair for the last 3 years, and James Andrus, who has been a great board member with insights on a number of important policy issues. As we get ready for the 30th anniversary of ICGN in 2025, we have an exciting year ahead to influence policy and investor practices, convene like-minded professionals and inspire different generations of governance specialists from all corners of the world.”
