Japan Conference 2026

Japan has made significant progress in advancing corporate governance and stewardship reform over the past decade, strengthening board independence, transparency, and shareholder engagement. This 1 day conference will reflect on the achievements to date and assess how these reforms have influenced market behaviour and investor confidence. It will also explore the government’s next phase of its governance reform agenda and what further policy or regulatory changes may be on the horizon. Finally, investors will share their perspectives on remaining priorities — from capital efficiency to cross-shareholdings and board accountability — to sustain Japan’s momentum towards higher governance standards.

This event will have simultaneous translation.
