Louis is a shareholder engagement specialist with over 20 years’ experience. He advises companies on complex corporate events, including strategic transactions, governance transitions, and leadership succession, and has been involved in some of the most high-profile activist situations in Europe and Asia. He developed his consulting skills in top-tier London strategy houses, starting with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Louis holds a degree from Neoma Business School and a Master’s in Law.

Myriam Epelbaum, Partner, heads the firm’s Corporate Governance practice.

Her practice focuses primarily on corporate governance, advising numerous listed companies including in relation to ESG matters.She also assists clients on M&A transactions, as well as securities law matters, especially those involving major governance issues.

Myriam gives seminars in company law at the University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas and the University of Paris Dauphine. She has participated in several working groups set up by the Haut Comité Juridique de la Place Financière de Paris (HCJP) (the Paris Financial Market Law Committee) and is the Rapporteur of its Say-on-Climate working group.

Academic career
Admitted to the Paris Bar (2014), Myriam is a graduate of the University of Paris 2 Panthéon‑Assas (Master’s degree in Banking and Financial Law, 2011; Master’s degree in Business Law, 2010; Maîtrise in Business Law, 2009).

Marine has been advising listed companies on institutional investor behaviour and preferences on sustainability issues for close to 5 years. Marine previously worked as an sustainability and governance analyst at Covéa Finance, where she was involved with the integration of sustainability issues within the investment process. Marine also held various positions at Airbus, the European multinational aerospace corporation, within its Investor Relations and Corporate Secretariat departments. At Airbus, Marine developed an in-depth knowledge of board matters, corporate transparency, and corporate governance issues. Marine holds a master’s degree in finance from the European Business School, Paris.

Angeles Garcia-Poveda has been the Chair of the Board of Directors of Legrand since July 2020. Prior to this appointment, she was Lead Director from 2013 to 2020 after being elected to Legrand’s Board in 2012. Angeles Garcia-Poveda began her career at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where she worked for 14 years as a strategy consultant and then as head of local, international and global recruitment. In 2008, she joined Spencer Stuart, an executive search consulting firm, becoming Managing Director for France in 2011 before being appointed Managing Director EMEA and member of the Global Executive Committee, then a member of the Supervisory Board from 2018 to 2021. She remained a Senior Advisor within the governance practice at Spencer Stuart until March 2023. Angeles Garcia-Poveda is also a Director of Bridgepoint and Puig. She sits on the Board of Directors of the IFD (Institut de la Finance Durable), on the Executive Council of the MEDEF and on the advisory board of the Climate Governance Initiative. She is also a member of the Haut Comité de Gouvernement d’Entreprise (“HCGE”).

Michael is the Global Head of Stewardship within the Sustainability Centre. He is working within BNPP AM since 2008.

He is in charge of the elaboration and implementation of the stewardship policy, which includes voting and engagement. He also plays a critical role in the design, development and implementation of BNPP AM’s Global Sustainability Strategy and is a key driver for the firm’s ESG research and integration, as well as SRI analysis. He is also member of the Board of Governors of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN).  

His wider industry activity includes being a Chair of the “Corporate Governance” committee at the French Association of Asset Managers (AFG) and Chair of the International Corporate Governance Committee at the Council of Institutional Investors (Cii).  He is also member of the “Oversight committee” of the Best Practice Principles (BPP) and member of the “Shareholder rights” committee and the “Global Network of Investor Associations ‘GNIA’ committee” at the ICGN.

He holds others membership such as the Responsible Investment committee « at the French Association of Asset Managers (AFG), and the “Grand prix jury of the general meetings” in France.

Michael previously worked as a jurist between 2006 and 2008 and was in charge of proxy voting for the Fonds de Reserve des Retraites (French back-up pension fund) in Paris.

He graduated from the University of Paris XI (France) and has a master degree of Corporate and business law (2008)

Mr. Patrick Jeantet is a graduate of École Polytechnique and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in France. Mr. Patrick Jeantet began his career in 1985 in the civil engineering and construction sector within the Bouygues and Vinci groups. In 1997, he joined International Water, a subsidiary of Bechtel, first in Manila and then in London, as chief operating officer. In 2005, Mr. Patrick Jeantet joined Keolis, first as deputy chief executive officer international, and then as executive director France. In 2013, he became deputy chief executive officer of the Aéroports de Paris group. He has been deputy chairman of the management board of SNCF and chairman and chief executive officer of SNCF Réseau from 2016 to 2020. Mr. Patrick Jeantet joined the Board of SPIE in 2021 as Director and chairman of the Nomination and Compensation Committee and was appointed as Senior Independent Director in 2022.

Benjamin Kanovitch, Partner who has been a member of the Corporate team for 25 years, is a highly regarded expert in the field of securities law and mergers and acquisitions.

His practice includes a very broad spectrum of matters, including cross-border transactions for French and international corporate clients, acquisitions of listed and unlisted companies, private equity transactions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings.

He also advises companies on their key governance and regulatory issues.

He leads seminars at universities in France and in the U.S.A., and regularly contributes to consultations organised by the French authorities and regulatory bodies.

Benjamin is a corporate law expert in the legal think-tank, the Club des Juristes, and was notably the rapporteur of the “Shareholder Activism Committee.”

He was seconded to Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York for two years (2001 – 2003).
