Katie Kummer

Katie Kummer is the Global Deputy Vice Chair – Public Policy at EY. In this role she leads a team that

engages with a broad range of stakeholders around the world, contributes to policy debates, and provides

insights and perspectives on a range of issues across audit, tax, corporate reporting and

corporate governance — and increasingly digital innovation, resiliency, data privacy, long-term value and

the future of work.

In her 30 years with EY, Katie has led international teams in both client-serving and Professional Practice

roles. She has vast experience in evaluating complex accounting and public company issues, primarily in

the financial services and real estate industries. As an audit partner, Katie dealt extensively with audit,

banking and other regulators, helping clients and teams understand both US and non-US regulatory

perspectives, as well as helping regulators understand EY’s clients’ business and EY’s audit approach.

Before joining the Public Policy group, Katie was a member of the Americas FSO Quality Network where

she coached public company engagement teams on complex auditing issues. She previously spent

seven years in EY’s Professional Practice group, monitoring external inspections and overseeing internal

AQR inspections, both in and outside the US. In addition, throughout her career, Katie has represented

EY on profession working groups.

Katie is a member of EY’s Partner Advisory Council (PAC) for the AccessAbilities Professional Network

(AAPN), one of EY’s nine D&I grassroots-led-and-run professional networks. As part of the PAC, she

provides sponsorship, advice and direction to the 25 EY AAPN network chapters, with 1000 members

throughout the Americas, to help foster an environment and culture where people of all physical, cognitive

and mental health abilities can feel supported and be successful.

Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting from St. Mary’s College,

Notre Dame, Indiana and is currently licensed to practice in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. She

sits on the Board of the National Capital Area’s chapter of Autism Speaks, is a sports enthusiast, and

proud mother of twin girls.

Will co-leads the climate change theme at EOS, the stewardship arm of Federated Hermes Limited, where his coverage includes companies in Europe and Australia, primarily financial services, energy, chemicals, and materials. Prior to joining EOS, Will worked in the energy and infrastructure investment banking team at Macquarie Capital, where he specialised in renewable energy. Before that, Will held a number of roles across the UK climate policy space, including as a parliamentary researcher for Rt. Hon. Chris Skidmore MP on climate and energy issues, and as a climate and economic policy analyst at a diplomatic institute. He was appointed as a voluntary adviser to Rt. Hon. Alok Sharma MP, President of COP26, on preparations for COP26 after co-founding a Westminster climate policy group in 2019, which engaged MPs and Members of the House of Lords to advocate for more ambition on climate action in public policy. Will has a Bachelor’s degree (1st Class Honours) in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
