Gabriel Alsina

Gabriel Alsina is Global Head of Research for ISS Governance. He was appointed to the role effective September 2025, and leads the ISS research teams based across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific in our Governance Research and Voting business that report on more than 50,000 public company shareholder meetings each year in over 110 markets around the world, providing institutional investors with informed independent research and voting recommendations through ISS benchmark, ISS specialty and custom research, and producing studies and white papers on a wide variety of topics related to corporate governance and capital stewardship.

Prior to his current role, Gabriel led ISS Global Custom Research from 2020, ISS Americas Research from 2016, and ISS’s Research teams covering most of Continental Europe from 2011. With his extensive corporate governance and stewardship knowledge, Gabriel is also a regular speaker with external groups. In his earlier career, he was also a contributor and author of several white papers and pan-European reports, including the Report on the Proportionality Principle in the European Union (2006) and Study on Monitoring and Enforcement Practices in Corporate Governance in the Member States (2009).

Based in ISS’s Rockville, MD, USA office, Gabriel has a Master’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration (Governance) from the University of Rome.

Will Farrell

Will co-leads the climate change theme at EOS, the stewardship arm of Federated Hermes Limited, where his coverage includes companies in Europe and Australia, primarily financial services, energy, chemicals, and materials. Prior to joining EOS, Will worked in the energy and infrastructure investment banking team at Macquarie Capital, where he specialised in renewable energy. Before that, Will held a number of roles across the UK climate policy space, including as a parliamentary researcher for Rt. Hon. Chris Skidmore MP on climate and energy issues, and as a climate and economic policy analyst at a diplomatic institute. He was appointed as a voluntary adviser to Rt. Hon. Alok Sharma MP, President of COP26, on preparations for COP26 after co-founding a Westminster climate policy group in 2019, which engaged MPs and Members of the House of Lords to advocate for more ambition on climate action in public policy. Will has a Bachelor’s degree (1st Class Honours) in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
