Mike Weston

Mike has spent over 30 years managing and investing for public, private and, charity sector pension schemes.  He is an Independent Trustee at Pi Partnership and the longstanding independent Chair of Trustees of the Institute of Cancer Research Pension Scheme. Mike has also developed a portfolio of advisory, consulting and non-executive roles within the UK pensions and investment industry and joined Labaton Keller Sucharow as a Senior Advisor in September 2023. 

In his executive career Mike’s most recent role was CEO of LGPS Central Limited. Under his leadership assets more than doubled to c£30bn, with several multi-billion-pound fund launches and the establishment of investment fund vehicles which now span both public and private markets asset classes. He drove the responsible investment agenda, more than doubled the team in Wolverhampton to 80 skilled investment professionals and delivered the investment performance and cost savings to support long-term pension payments by Partner Funds to their scheme members.

Prior to this Mike was CEO of the Pensions Infrastructure Platform, at the time a pension scheme owned specialist UK infrastructure investor and Chief Investment Officer for the pension schemes of DMGT plc.

Will co-leads the climate change theme at EOS, the stewardship arm of Federated Hermes Limited, where his coverage includes companies in Europe and Australia, primarily financial services, energy, chemicals, and materials. Prior to joining EOS, Will worked in the energy and infrastructure investment banking team at Macquarie Capital, where he specialised in renewable energy. Before that, Will held a number of roles across the UK climate policy space, including as a parliamentary researcher for Rt. Hon. Chris Skidmore MP on climate and energy issues, and as a climate and economic policy analyst at a diplomatic institute. He was appointed as a voluntary adviser to Rt. Hon. Alok Sharma MP, President of COP26, on preparations for COP26 after co-founding a Westminster climate policy group in 2019, which engaged MPs and Members of the House of Lords to advocate for more ambition on climate action in public policy. Will has a Bachelor’s degree (1st Class Honours) in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
