Maureen was a civil servant for over 20 years, mostly within the different guises of the Department for Business Enterprise and Industrial Strategy (BEIS),  her last position being Head of Company Law and Reporting.  As part of that role she was responsible for a team who informed company law policy and supported Ministers on a number of legislative changes.

In 2017 Maureen moved on secondment to the Financial Reporting Council, working on the review of the UK Corporate Governance Code and then the introduction of the Wates Principles for Large Private Companies.  In 2020 Maureen was appointed Head of Corporate Governance at the FRC and recently completed the review of the Corporate Governance Code.  Following the retirement of David Styles, Maureen was recently appointed Acting Director, Corporate Governance and Stewardship.

Enrico is a member of the Responsible Investing team at Nuveen, the investment management arm of TIAA. He is responsible for strategies, policies and communications related to firm’s stewardship programme, including company engagement, proxy voting, thematic research and thought leadership.

Before joining Nuveen, Enrico was a lead analyst in Vanguard’s investment stewardship team, covering EMEA and APAC markets with a focus on climate risk. He was previously a manager at Sustainalytics Morningstar with research and business development roles in Germany and Australia.

Enrico holds a Masters in Strategic Management from Rotterdam School of Management, and a BA Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan, with an academic exchange in Shanghai.

Kalina Lazarova is Corporate Governance and Voting Lead at Standard Life plc. Kalina’s focus is to evolve the company’s work on proxy voting models, as well as its corporate governance strategy. Prior to joining Standard Life plc, Kalina spent over 7 years at BMO Global Asset Management as Head of Governance, Responsible Investment, where she led on development and implementation of global corporate governance policies, focussed on ESG engagement, and worked on meeting commitments under the UNPRI and UK Stewardship Code. Kalina also spent time at Fidelity Investments International and Governance for Owners LLP as a senior governance manager.

Chris Osborne leads ISS’ U.K. research team, which produces market-leading, high-quality research and voting recommendations on U.K. companies for ISS clients. Based in London, Chris manages the team’s dialogue with U.K. companies in accordance with the ISS Compliance Statement for the U.K. Stewardship Code, monitoring U.K. and global corporate governance developments, and ensuring ISS’ benchmark U.K. voting policy and guidelines reflect widely accepted market standards, investor needs, and best practice. He also serves as Head of South African Research.

Chris joined ISS in 2019, previously serving as Vice-President and manager in the U.K. Research team, before being appointed head in 2021.

Chris has over ten years of U.K. governance experience, including analyst and research roles in the IVIS team at the U.K. Investment Association and at executive remuneration consultant, New Bridge Street (now Aon). Chris holds an LLB Law degree from University College London (UCL).

Jen is the CEO of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN).

Led by investors with AUM of over $US 100 trillion, ICGN aims to strengthen markets and create long term value through effective corporate governance policy and practice. Jen represents ICGN on the Japanese Financial Services Agency’s Council of Experts and on the IFIAR stakeholder working group and the PCAOB IAG.

Jen joined ICGN from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she was EMEA Head of Stewardship, driving engagement, proxy voting and industry collaboration efforts. In that role, Jen was a member of the Investment Association Company Reporting and Auditing Group and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) Investor Advisory Committee. In 2022 Jen was also a member of the US Council of Institutional Investors Corporate Governance Advisory Council.

Previously, Jen was Deputy Director of Stakeholder Engagement and Corporate Affairs at the UK Financial Reporting Council, responsible for coordinating outreach with the global investment community, listed company leadership teams and board members across all areas of the regulator’s scope. Jen led policy outreach on ESG, audit and reporting matters including the creation of the 2020 UK Stewardship Code and the 2018 UK Corporate Governance Code.

Jen started her career at PwC.

Jen holds a BA in Business, Accounting and Finance from the University of Newcastle and a Masters in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge.
