Jeanne Stampe

Jeanne is the Lead Policy Advisor at NBIM. She engages with financial regulators, standard setters, stock exchanges and industry associations worldwide to promote well-functioning markets through corporate governance and corporate disclosures (financial and sustainability-related financial disclosures). Her market level policy engagement is conducted in close collaboration with NBIM’s stewardship teams who engage at portfolio company level on corporate governance matters.

Prior to joining NBIM, Jeanne was the sole Specialist Leader at the Monetary Authority of Singapore for over 4 years focusing on climate and environmental risk from both prudential supervisory and capital markets perspectives. She had a cross functional role spanning the capital markets, banking and insurance groups. She represented MAS to drive international environmental risk policy reform through International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), Basel Committee for Banking Supervision (BCBS), International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), and Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS).

For 8 years up to 2020, Jeanne was Head of Asia Sustainable Finance at WWF. She worked with ASEAN banking supervisors to support the development of their environmental risk management guidelines. Prior to that, she worked for 14 years in private equity and investment banking in London, New York, Stockholm and Singapore and has European/UK board experience.

Jeanne is a Senior Fellow at the SOAS University of London Centre for Sustainable Finance. Jeanne holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Cambridge University.

Will co-leads the climate change theme at EOS, the stewardship arm of Federated Hermes Limited, where his coverage includes companies in Europe and Australia, primarily financial services, energy, chemicals, and materials. Prior to joining EOS, Will worked in the energy and infrastructure investment banking team at Macquarie Capital, where he specialised in renewable energy. Before that, Will held a number of roles across the UK climate policy space, including as a parliamentary researcher for Rt. Hon. Chris Skidmore MP on climate and energy issues, and as a climate and economic policy analyst at a diplomatic institute. He was appointed as a voluntary adviser to Rt. Hon. Alok Sharma MP, President of COP26, on preparations for COP26 after co-founding a Westminster climate policy group in 2019, which engaged MPs and Members of the House of Lords to advocate for more ambition on climate action in public policy. Will has a Bachelor’s degree (1st Class Honours) in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
