Appointed as Vice President, Research and Engagement in January 2020, Ms. Ueno was responsible for establishing the Glass Lewis office in Tokyo and oversees the research teams responsible for covering Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Ms. Ueno originally joined the Asian Research team in 2010 and has led the team for the past 6 years, a period of massive expansion of Asian company holdings among clients and dramatic evolution of governance practices across Asia. She has personally overseen the Japanese research and engagement operations, including the publishing of more than 2,700 reports in 2019 and direct dialogue with hundreds of companies and investors.
